Vinnie was in his last year at Heretaunga College when Xact Transition began working with him. Vinnie was unsure of what he wanted to do other than the fact that he LOVED music and movies. Through a mindmap and goal planning process Vinnie decided that he would like to work at a movie theatre. The Transition Broker worked with Vinnie to help him apply for a job at Hoytz Cinema Lower Hutt. By helping Vinnie fill in an application form and liasoning with Hoyts management, he was successful! Vinnie still works at Hoytz independently today and thoroughly enjoys it. Another one of Vinnie's goals is to get his learner licence. Xact helped with this and still provide Vinnie support to take part in a learner licence course through Read Write Plus in Upper Hutt. Vinnie hopes to get his licence so he can eventually ride a motorbike to work. Next year Vinnie hopes to be accepted into the Certificate in Community and Vocational Learning Skills at Weltec in Petone.
